Architecture

HealthTalk is built on the MEDrecord platform and uses:

  • Gateway for authentication and API routing
  • EHR Platform for patient data integration
  • AI Agents for automated message generation and response suggestions

Integration

With EHR Systems

HealthTalk integrates with the MEDrecord EHR Platform via openEHR archetypes for:

  • Patient demographics
  • Appointment schedules
  • Clinical notes (for context-aware messaging)

With External Systems

  • SMS Providers - Twilio, MessageBird
  • Email - SendGrid, custom SMTP
  • Push Notifications - Firebase Cloud Messaging

Security and Compliance

HealthTalk is designed to meet:

  • NEN 7510 - Dutch healthcare information security standard
  • GDPR - Patient data protection and consent management
  • ISO 13485 - Medical device quality management

All communications are:

  • Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3)
  • Encrypted at rest (AES-256)
  • Fully audited with immutable logs
